
Opra Learning Centre is forcused at reducing the digital divide by spearheading research and development in information technology and computer/communication technology(ict) at all levels in uganda/africa and international levels by providing pragmantic E training ie inclusive needbased and qualitative ict.
OLC started June 2008 with two computers and six students By the end of 2008 it had qualified 48 students in different computer courses. Today in our simplest way we have qualified 114 adult students and 15 under 16 with computer literacy and computer hands on skills. In additional we have trained 20 ICT trainers of trainees to become community ICT motivators and computer literacy Trainers. To Oprah, pragmatism is the answer to any success. Success:
119 GRADUANDS over one year 60% Adults aged 40/50 plus. This number include women from absolutely rural areas and semi-literate. Meaning we are positively meeting the set objectives of inclusion and relief of digital divide between class. Gender and age. Nalongo Mukasa the principal Director-enjoys vast skills and experience from home and abroad (UK) in a number of areas.
Other three Directors all ICT consultants are based in UK.
